GMO Foods Are A Nightmare Waiting To Happen
GMO foods are the source of many health problems. But keeping them out of our bodies is hard.
Because the big agriculture companies who make them have infiltrated the halls of power. The result is an growing battle. On one side the public demands to know if GMO ingredients are in foods. On the other side, corporate interests are doing everything they can to prevent us from knowing.
Again, we have to ask why?
It’s simple, really. The big agricultural interests know that nobody would buy the food. Funny how people don’t want to be the guinea pigs for the biggest biological experiment ever run.
This issue is life-threatening. Even so, many people are still not aware of the problem. That’s the reason for this web site. Here you can explore the science. You can hear first-hand how these foods are changing the very nature of our world. You will also discover how insider shenanigans at the highest levels keep you from knowing what is in your food.
To be fair, there are uses for genetically modified organisms. But these are mostly limited to non-food uses. The most suspect types of GMO food changes are these:
- Plants engineered to produce their own pesticides.
- Plants modified to resist specific herbicides.
We will look at both of these and explore the issues related to each.
We will be adding more information to this site regularly. To start, here is a quote about GMO foods that should interest you:
“Any scientist who tells you they know that GMOs are safe and not to worry about it, is either ignorant of the history of science or is deliberately lying. Nobody knows what the long-term effect will be.”
– Geneticist, David Suzuki, giving the 2008 Commonwealth Lecture in London
And since once good quote deserves another…
“As far as genetic engineering for food, that is the great experiment that has failed. They literally have the entire world market against them. All those dreams… the blind will see, the lame will walk… has turned out to be science fiction. They are basically chemical companies selling more chemicals. They’ve been able to spread these herbicide-promoting plants around because it is more convenient for farmers who can just mass-spray their crops. But they’ve given absolutely nothing to the consumer while causing more chemical pollution and contamination.”
– Lawyer, Andrew Kimbrell, executive director of the Center for Food Safety (USA)
Finally, here is a widely circulated quote from the president of a subsidiary of one of the biggest GMO companies in the world:
“If you put a label on genetically engineered food you might as well put a skull and crossbones on it.”
– Norman Braksick, president of Asgrow Seed Co., a subsidiary of Monsanto, quoted in the Kansas City Star, March 7, 1994
Seems clear enough, doesn’t it?
GMO foods throw a wild card into the food supply. Eating them is like playing Russian roulette with your health. Is that a game you want to play?
